Epoxy resin-based, two component, reaction cured primer which contains high amount of purified micronized zinc powder and provides cathodic protection. This is the primer coat which is applied in the circumstances when long term protection is desired against rusting on iron & steel surfaces that continuously contact seawater. Does not contain lead components.

Surface Preparation&Application
Surfaces should be cleaned of old paint film, oil, dust, dirt, moist, chloride, sulphate salts, rust, rolled mud, tempering, casting - welding burrs etc. which will reduce adhesion on the application surface . Bevel the 90° sharp corners and edges of the application surface and send the surface at minimum Sa2 ½ (ISO 8501-1, SSPC-SP10) degrees, (sand - grid scraper) and prime the scraped surface in 1 to 2 hours with Epoxy Zinc 80 Primer. After the Zinc Primer has hard dried (in 4 to 6 hours), the top coat paint - coating can be applied. Mix the paint and the hardener in the given ratio until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Rest the mixture for 2 to 3 minutes for preliminary reaction and apply with the recommended apparatuses. The surface temperature must be minimum 3 Celsius degrees higher than the dew temperature. Do not apply near dew point or on wet, dump surfaces. For the topcoat application wait for 24 hours between coats. Application Temperature: Min. +10°C/ Max. + 30°C
