Exelans Primer

This is a water-based, silicon, elastic exterior primer that minimizes the consumption of filler paint. It can be used as a primer under all kinds of exterior paints. The exterior walls primed with Exelans Primer are humid-proof, and require less paint as the water absorbance of the plaster will be reduced. Both on new surfaces painted for the first time and old painted surfaces, Exelans Primer ensures strong adherence of the new paint to the old paint. Due to its elastic structure, it prevents formation of cracks on the surface by acting together with Exelans Paint against ground movements. It improves coverage as a filler primer.

Surface Preparation&Application
If paint is being applied for the first time, dirty and loose parts should be removed. If it is being repainted, it should be ensured that it is clear of dust, and primed with Exelans Primer. Surface repairs should be made using Exelans Paste.
Thinning / Blending Ratio
Thin with water by 10%.
Coverage Area
5 - 7 m²/kg on single coat. Varies based on the absorbing power of the surface and application method.
Drying Time
At 20°C, the primer is dry in 6 hours and hard-dry in 24 hours.
Recommended Application Tools
Exterior roller and brush.
